I wish I could do the same at tournament weigh ins! Yep, this ones 8 pounds and that ones 10 for sure! It's a nice fish but if you think that last bass was 9 pounds you'd be very disappointed if you'd have put it on a scale.

Those are bigmouth buffalo, tons of them in the hot water at La Cygne during the winter time. It's almost impossible to fish a spoon through there without snagging them sometimes. Pretty entertaining if you're lucky enough to get one that jumps for you though.

Your friends just don't get it do they?

First of all, Common Carp are considered invasive. However, they just so happen to be my favorite fish that swims. In this video, we were snagging in the cooling pond of a powerplant, where these snagged fish congregate in a shallow channel due to oxygen deprivation caused by the water heating to temperatures exceeding 115 degrees. Which means these fish all die anyways. Thank you for your concern though. Its good to see someone giving a shit about the good ol' Cyprinus Carpio Zach

Hey Nolan, These particular fish were doing something we call "sifting" which essentially translates to blindly sorting miscellaneous food items from the sediment they pull from the bottom! The setup I was using was a second generation 9ft #6 Redington Predator overlined with a cheap #8 Echo line my boss gave to me. On this particular fish, I actually broke my entire rig off prior to making this cast, so I was fishing straight 8 pound trilene to a tan Egan's Headstand! Tight lines, Zach

I could care less about carp, but that is an ignorant comment to make about trout. When you start to fish yourself maybe you will understand the difference in how you handle a fish is the difference is if the fish survives or not. Don't believe me? Look up trout catch and release mortality rates...

snagging buffalo is one of my favorite things to do when the fish wont bite.

i think its great that you release your bass. i realy en joy watching your viedos. i would recomend buying a cheap scale so you can weigh your fish. have fun fishing!
